We know it can be a challenge to find and access the support services that your loved one needs. Servicing Vermont and the surrounding suburbs, Radiant Home Care is here for each client and their family, getting to know you on a personal level so that we can provide you with the level of service you deserve.
We know that it isn’t just about the physical support that a carer can provide – it’s about the emotional support and the ability to connect with someone. With us, you will get the level of unconditional support that makes the difference in a person’s life, allowing them to reach their full potential.

More about the NDIS
What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government initiative in Australia that aims to fund the services needed to help those with disabilities live more independently. This funding may allow participants to access personal care services, install necessary home modifications that allow them to live independently, receive any services or aids that are needed, and engage more fully in their community.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is overseen by the National Disability Insurance Agency. Support services are provided by registered NDIS providers who are recognised by the NDIS, such as Radiant Home Care.
What disabilities are covered by the NDIS?
To qualify as an NDIS participant, your disability must be permanent and significant. This can include any type of disability: intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive, or psychosocial. Participants must also be aged 65 and under and be a citizen or resident of Australia. If you are older than 65 and require support, the NDIS may fund supports that are not covered by the aged care system.
Do I need to go with a registered provider in Vermont?
If your plan is being managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency, you will need to go with a registered provider. These are people who are registered with the NDIS and meet certain service requirements:
- Comply with the NDIS Act 2013;
- Comply with the NDIS Terms of Business for Registered Providers and any conditions of NDIS Registration; and
- Obtain and maintain accreditation against the NDIS Practice Standards.
If you are responsible for managing your plan, or you have a Plan Manager, you can go with either a registered or unregistered provider in Vermont. While you may consider unregistered providers for services such as cleaning or repairs, it is best to look at registered providers for carers as we are subject to audit and other quality safeguards.
